Womb and Fertility Massage was developed by Clare Spink as a fusion of traditional techniques to support womb health, menstrual health, and fertility. It is deep yet gentle work, with the aim of improving the circulation of blood and lymph to the abdominal organs and structures. This massage also emphasises the release of emotional tension to help you feel lighter and more at ease.

What is Womb & Fertility Massage?

After reviewing your health history and discussing your aims for treatment, you will be invited to lie on the massage table. Massage and acupressure techniques will be used on your lower back and sacrum, then over your abdomen (everything from the lower border of your ribs to just above your pubic bone). Rebozos (long, woven shawls) will be used to stretch, sway, rock and wrap your head, hips, legs, and feet. The rebozos provide a really lovely sensation of being held, cocoon-like, providing a sense of warmth, security, and calm.

Guided visualisations may also be used in the session. We ask you to focus on the sensations, images, thoughts, and feelings that arise throughout the treatment as a way of reconnecting to your body, mind, and heart.

What can I expect?

Womb and Fertility Massage was developed from the observation that physical and emotional trauma, scar tissue, digestive complaints, stress, and anxiety can all play a role in blocking healthy womb function and fertility.

While it can help to address these issues, it is not limited to fertility. Womb and Fertility Massage may also be useful for perimenopausal symptoms, those without a womb (e.g. hysterectomy), and those wanting to relax and re-connect to themselves.
