Day Nine

We are all feeling the sluggish and stiffness creep into our bodies after a few weeks of less mobility. As health professionals, we talk often with patients about  the importance to keep moving. Isolation has shown most of us how quickly our body finds discomfort when placed in a more sedentary lifestyle. So we hope you are finding the motivation to keep making the right steps towards a healthier future self.

We’ve been back in the practice this week and have felt honoured to be able to assist you in achieving that freedom and that ease of movement your bodies were craving. There were plenty of smiles seen from patients after their chiro and acupuncture sessions and a lovely energy created in the space.

If we haven’t seen you for a while, we welcome you back.

Feel Right

Jasmine brings us acupressure relief for anxiety and stress Part 2.

LIV3 “Taichong”
Translates to “Great Rushing” referring to the level of energy movement this point provides. This point can be located by locating the toe crease between the 1st and 2nd toes, sliding upwards toward the ankle, stopping at the depression between the 1st and 2nd metatarsal bones. LIV3 is used to provide relief from many conditions due to its ability to clear energy blockages within the body.

LI4 “Hegu”
Translates to “Joining Valley” describing in this case more of the physical location of the point. LI4 can be found between the 1st and 2nd metacarpal bones on the outer hand. Locate the webbing of the hand between the index finger ad thumb and move toward the wrist, stopping at the tender point in the belly of the muscle. The point is used for relieving pain anywhere in the body, though especially the head and face, and assisting in the movement of blocked energy (even more powerful when used with LIV3).
